Your medical records will integrate with other providers who utilize the same Epic electronic health record system.

Personal Health Navigators assist you and your family with accessing and understanding health care services. Navigators can help you schedule an appointment at The Health Center and elsewhere in the community, prepare for visits, coordinate your after-visit care, and answer questions about your health insurance plan. The service acts as an extension of our on-site Health Center team to serve you when your care needs extend beyond The Health Center walls. Our Health Center and Personal Health Navigator teams partner to ensure a seamless experience for you and your family.

Do you provide virtual care visits?

Virtual visits are available to manage existing or chronic issues, address immediate care needs, or be screened for COVID-19. In these situations, virtual visits are conducted by the same primary care and specialty care team that serves you in-person at The Health Center. Virtual visits are connected to your electronic health record and conducted through a secure connection.

Please note that regulations differ by state and we may not be able to provide virtual care to members across all states. Please contact us for more details.

Yes, we have COVID-19 antibody and diagnostic testing available for asymptomatic members. See the latest details on our testing and safety requirements.

If you are experiencing COVID-19 symptoms, have previously experienced symptoms, or are curious about antibody testing in general, we can set up a virtual visit to discuss your options and what testing, if any, makes sense for you. Contact our Personal Health Navigators to get started.

For all other questions on COVID-19 care, see our COVID-19 page.

Capsule can deliver prescriptions, over-the-counter medications and devices to any address in the five boroughs of NYC, Rockland County, Westchester, Hoboken, Jersey City, Stamford, or Greenwich.

Are walk-in appointments available?

There is time allocated in the schedule to allow providers to accept walk-in appointments, however we highly encourage you to book an appointment ahead of time for optimal efficiency.

For the safety of our staff and members during COVID-19, we currently require all members to call in advance and schedule an appointment.

What if I have an emergency?

If you are experiencing an emergency, you should call 911 and/or go to your nearest emergency room immediately.

What happens if I need care after hours?

Our practice is open seven days a week with extended primary and immediate care hours in the morning and evening to make scheduling appointments easier. After business hours, we have an answering service that can help triage clinical questions via phone. Premier members are eligible for in-home after-hours visits.

Billing and Insurance

Do you accept my insurance?

Our providers are in-network with your Milbank-sponsored health plan. If you are enrolled in a different health plan, Mount Sinai participates in all major health plan networks (e.g., Aetna, United, Cigna, and BlueCross BlueShield). We work with most large insurance carriers to bill our services. If you want to confirm whether we accept your insurance, please reach out directly to our Personal Health Navigators via chat through the member portal or via phone at 646-819-5100 to discuss further.

Will I have to pay anything the day of my visit?

Depending on your health insurance plan, you may owe a fixed dollar amount, or copay, the day of your visit. The Health Center accepts payment via credit/debit card. We do not accept cash, check, or money orders.

For non-copay services or high deductible health plans, you will receive a bill for services at a later date.

I received a bill for services rendered at The Health Center. How do I pay it?

You can conveniently pay your bill online through the member portal, accessible via the ‘Billing’ section in the navigation menu, or opt for payment via phone or mail using the instructions provided on the bill.

How much do primary and urgent care services at The Health Center cost?

Annual Well Visits, Primary and Urgent Care services are provided at no cost to you, and all other care will be covered in-network by your Milbank health plan. Partners and employees enrolled in a High-Deductible Health Plan (HDHP) will need to pay a $40 fee for each Primary or Urgent Care office visit due to HSA eligibility rules, except for your annual wellness visit; this fee will not be applied to your plan deductibles, coinsurance, or out-of-pocket maximums.

Note that the cost for all immunizations, injections, and certain tests and screenings will be processed through your insurance plan.

How much do the specialty care services at The Health Center cost?

For specialty care services such as physical therapy, dermatology, and behavioral health (psychology), care services will be billed to your insurance plan and are subject to the agreed-upon rates between your insurance plan and Mount Sinai, the same as when you receive care elsewhere in the community. The charge will be subject to your insurance plan cost-sharing provisions such as deductibles, coinsurance, copays, and out-of-pocket maximums. The cost of services will vary depending on the specific diagnosis and treatment that you and your provider determine you need on the day of your visit.

I have Medicare, is my care covered?

We have providers who are enrolled with Medicare, however we do recommend contacting The Health Center directly with questions about specific coverage.

Membership

What are the membership options?

The Health Center offers two types of memberships:

    • Employer-Sponsored Essential Membership: Milbank has made a special investment in your health and wellbeing by purchasing Essential memberships for all of its Partners and employees at Hudson Yards. This includes access to all essential services at The Health Center and access to our Personal Health Navigators who can support you with scheduling, billing, and referrals.
    • Premier Membership: Includes access to all services at The Health Center as well as 24/7 care, a personal physician and health concierge, cutting-edge executive physical, in-home care, and more. If you are interested in our VIP Premier membership, please contact us directly at membership@healthcenterhudsonyards.com.

How do I sign up for membership?

As a Partner or employee of Milbank, you’re already signed up! You can activate your membership through our website or app. Select “Sign up” and register using your work email. You will choose the “Employer-Sponsored Essential Membership” option. Once complete, you can schedule an appointment and start your care.

If interested in upgrading to a Premier membership, please contact us at membership@healthcenterhudsonyards.com to schedule a tour and discuss your options more in depth.

Can my spouse or dependent use The Health Center?

Your spouse or dependent is not eligible to use The Health Center without an individual membership. You may elect to purchase an individual membership for your spouse or dependent (if over age 18) by following the instructions above. Spouses and dependents of our members are eligible to call the Personal Health Navigator service at 646-819-5100, at no additional cost to you, for benefit questions and referral needs.

How do I renew my membership?

Because your membership is sponsored by Milbank, you do not need to renew your membership annually.

I have a membership through my employer. Will I still have access to The Health Center if I leave my employer?

As your membership is sponsored by your employer, you would not be able to continue to access The Health Center under your employer-sponsored membership after you leave. However, you will have the option to continue your membership through a COBRA election if desired. Additionally, we would be happy to speak with you about a self-sponsored membership, as well as provide you with your medical records should you choose to seek care elsewhere.
