Lunch With Lebret Session 3

A paradigm shift is happening in health. Researchers and individuals have recognized that changing lifestyle behavior – diet, exercise, sleep, and stress – leads to a longer, healthier life.

In our third Lunch with Lebret session, Dr. James Lebret discusses how movement is a key component in supporting your overall health span and well-being.

James Lebret, MD, DipABLM

Internist and Lifestyle Medicine Physician at The Health Center at Hudson Yards

Dr. James Lebret believes in empowering his patients to be partners, personalizing wellness and treatment plans to the individual as a whole rather than focusing on symptoms alone. He employs lifestyle – exercise, nutrition, connectedness, sleep and stress reduction – as the five pillars of disease prevention and reversal. By providing personalized care he hopes to develop and maintain long term partnerships with patients.

To stay healthy, James follows a whole food plant based diet, practices yoga, and follows a resistance training program. In his free time he enjoys spending time with his children and is currently in denial about sleep being the fourth pillar of health. He earned his undergraduate degree from Cornell University, completed medical school at the primary care-centric University of Minnesota and residency at Weill Cornell New York Presbyterian Hospital. He is board certified in internal medicine and lifestyle medicine.
