Dr. Neema Shakibai is a board-certified internist with extensive experience in both academic and private internal medicine. Known for his focus on optimizing health and supporting long-term well-being, he prioritizes building trusted partnerships with his patients. 

Dr. Shakibai earned his medical degree from Boston University School of Medicine and completed his internal medicine residency at New York University School of Medicine. Prior to joining Mount Sinai Doctors-Concierge Care, Dr. Shakibai served as Co-Chief of the Section of General Internal Medicine and Brooklyn Campus Director of the SUNY Downstate Internal Medicine Residency Program during his 14 years at New York Harbor Healthcare System. In these leadership roles, Dr. Shakibai guided the development and oversight of innovative, multidisciplinary primary care clinics, delivering comprehensive, compassionate care to veterans throughout the New York metropolitan area.

His experience also includes private practice within a multispecialty setting in San Diego, further shaping his approach to individualized, whole-person care. Additionally, he has completed advanced training at the Helms Medical Institute and received New York State certification in medical acupuncture. 

In his free time, Dr. Shakibai values spending quality time traveling, golfing, and relaxing at the beach with his wife and two daughters. A lifelong Yankees fan, he enjoys friendly debates with his Mets-loving patients and gets to the Stadium whenever he can.
